MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Crews continued their search overnight for a missing Olympic sailor.
Thirty year old Trevor Moore’s boat was found abandoned off Dinner Key Marina.
Moore was last seen Thursday afternoon and seen on surveillance video leaving the U.S. Sailing Center in a 15-foot inflatable power boat.
Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, the boat was found tangled in mooring lines by a sailboat, according to U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife (FWC) officials.
Investigators found personal belongings on the boat including a life jacket and a GPS.
The GPS showed the boat had reduced speed by Soldier Key, south of Stiltsville, and zig-zagged back to where it came from. It’s believed that Moore was off the boat at that time.
Moore’s fiance, Libby Patton, said she intended to stay out on the water looking for him for as long as it takes.
