Several Hurt In Jefferson County Crash

JEFFERSON CO.– Several people are hurt and a man is behind bars after a crash Saturday night.

Authorities say 23 year-old Quentin Metje’s pickup ran a stop sign and hit a Dodge Charger.

Investigators say Metje was under the influence at the time.

Police say it happened at the intersection of Route 148 and North Triton Lane.

Metje’s truck was headed northbound on Triton Lane as the Dodge Charger was approaching the intersection.

According to investigators, Metje ran the stop sign and hit the Charger which had five people inside.

All were taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Metje and his 16 year-old passenger were okay.

Metje was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
