6 People Hurt After Brooklyn Building Goes Up In Flames

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — At least six people were hurt, one of them seriously, after a fire ripped through a three-story building in Brooklyn overnight.

The blaze broke out just after 1 a.m. at a building on Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush. Crews were able to bring the flames under control after nearly an hour.

The most serious of those injured was a man in his 60s who had to jump from a second story window. A second man was also forced to jump from the building.

All of the fire victims were rushed to Staten Island University Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
