Carbon Monoxide Suspected In Lauderdale Deaths

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Ft. Lauderdale apartment building was partially evacuated Thursday morning after someone called 9-1-1 to report a suicide attempt.

When Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived at the Sunrise Harbor Luxury Apartments, at 1010 Seminole Drive, they found a sign on a 14th floor unit’s door which read said there was carbon monoxide inside.

When they went inside the apartment they found the bodies of two people and a dog.

Firefighters immediately evacuated 14th through 18th floors, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Five people were treated on the scene.

A criminal investigation is now underway.
